Bentonite is used in pharmacies in the production of medicaments. Bentonite, thanks to its adsorption properties, is able to bind harmful substances in the body and at the same time has beneficial effects on intestinal microflora.

Do you have a car? Bentonite was used in its manufacture, too. Every foundry uses foundry sands and bentonite is necessary even in the pelletizing of iron ore.

Do you wash your hands with liquid soap? Bentonite is commonly among the ingredients of liquid soap as it ensures its good viscosity.

In the construction of waste dumps, sealant bentonite layers, or geogrids and geotextiles with bentonite, are used. Construction is a branch of industry where bentonite solves a number of complications; it is a part of special cements and is used for foundation of buildings and the construction of tunnels and roads.

Bentonite is used in the production of several types of paper.

Approximately 35% of bentonite used is recycled. Industrial solutions are being developed to further increase this share and make the use of this raw material even more efficient.

The short transport distances to parts of Central Europe contribute to an improved situation in the field of carbon dioxide pollution. Otherwise, this important raw material would have to be imported from India, Turkey, Africa or other remote areas of the world
